7 SAUM Freebore (another)

I have been researching all the threads on 7 SAUM freebore but seeing numbers all over the board. I am building on a Defiance XM action with ADG brass and Berger 175 Elite Hunters. I believe the OAL would need to be 2.98 to 3.01 (I can magazine up to 3.25). Considering a reamer with .185 freebore but have access to a reamer that has .220 freebore. Concerned about too much jump at .220. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thx

I would call and talk with Dave Kiff and see if they have this dialed into a particular bullet at a given seating depth. 541-826-5808

My experience with designing the subtle angles in the cutting tool, is there is no guarantee of how the bullet will seat compared to the dimensions. Even when we calculate things to four decimal points, things happen that make the reality of contact pressure and friction different than the math.

By now, after enough reamers have been made with enough folks using a particular bullet, they probably know.

Just for comparison sake:
7 RSUAM w/180 HYB ~2.950” OAL to touch will use ~.037” freebore w/1.5° throat angle.
