7 LBB?

Been seeing and hearing 7 LBB in a couple of places. Can someone tell me the difference in it and a prcw? Is it just a version of the prcw that has been blown out like a shehane?

Good timing. We actually just made the prints public.

The LBB was really just designed by the Lapua-Brux-Borden F-Open team to address some of the clicker issues with the PRCW we'd been having internally. We wanted to see if we could make the smallest change possible that wouldn't require all new dies, brass, loads, etc... and it seems like it worked out pretty well. It basically makes a small change to the body taper and calls for a little more headspace. If you are using a 6.5PRC go-gauge, I usually set HS to go-.004 for LBB (usually .8960" on a Borden BRMXD). I believe the prints also have a go-gauge spec if you want the exact sized gage.

If you are already running a PRCW and using Erik Cortina's PRCW II sizing die, you can just keep using that. Your seater die should work as well, though personally, I use a SAUM seater to seat both PRCW and LBB rounds.

If you are interested, you can call JGS and ask for the LBB or the LBB NT prints (turn-neck and no-turn respectively).
