7-65PRC (7PRCW) - Neck up from 6.5PRC

I can't find Lapua/ADG 7PRCW. I'm able to find 6.5 PRC and have bought 150 pieces of brass to start.

Okay. Although I think only ADG makes the 7PRCW. I could be wrong.

I ended up getting the 21st century mandrel body and a .284 mandrel.

For seating/sizing, I purchased the Forster Bushing/Micrometer-Seating set for 7PRCW. I appreciate the tips, I don't even know what a donut is (short of just reading a few lines about it, nothing definitive), so I guess i'll travel down that road once the donut possibly presents itself.

Still have to do research about load development and will peruse this forum. Do you have a go to charge worth trying as part of my testing?

I had the forster die set and I couldn't get the correct shoulder bump out of it. It needed about .006 shaved off of the bottom. I went with the whidden bushing die set. They are comparable in price or you can go with a Micron or SAC dies they are good but a little more expensive. Cortina also makes one that is suppose to be pretty good as well.

I don't think Forester makes a die for the 7PRCW..They make one for the 7 PRC, however
that's the wrong size case and will not work.

Oh man thats unfortunate. I paid $270 for the seater/sizing set shipped, I believe the Whidden just for the sizing/bushing die is around $350, hopefully i'll be able to get the bump i'm wanting with this Forster set! If I can't bump it right i'll be sure to call Forster up

Thank you for correcting me..I see that they do make one for the 7-6.5PRC
When I started playing this game hardly anyone made anything for the 7-6.5PRCW
We all had to get creative......glad its gotten better.

21 century neck up mandrel works great 6.5-7mm mandrel. Easy peasy! Then I run an ideal sized 7mm mandrel through as final for neck tension

I would be curious of the size it sizes to at the case head. Even whiddens dies have two different versions (don’t ask how I know) one will leave you with clickers and one doesn’t. Whidden said there was a difference in his 7-6.5 prc and the 7-6.6 prcw dies. I think one sizes to .535 and the other to .532 if I’m not mistaken. If the Forster dies don’t size small enough you’re gonna deal with clickers. If that don’t that would be awesome. More options is a great thing. Just something to check on.

I'll let you folks know once I get some resized and used. Hoping for the best.

I built a hunting rig in 7PRCW a year ago. I sent a new 7mm blank Wilson seating die to my smith and he used the same reamer to ream out my die. I then ordered a sizing die from Cortina. Everything works perfectly as should.
