7.62x39 vs 7.62.39 Russian

What is the difference between the Dillon 650/750 conversion kits of 7.62 x39 and the 7.62x39 Russian kit?

I received the 7.62x39 Russian kit as a gift, but reload for 7.62x39. I have a email to Dillon, but have not heard back yet.

Thanks

As someone who has been shooting Com-Bloc 7.62 x 39 ammo for over fifty years , I didn't know there was a difference , other than maybe the older Com-Bloc ammo had corrosive primers , Could you be a little more specific in what you are asking about ?

Most overseas manufactures size rifles and ammo for .311 bullet diameter. Many American rifles are .308. I shoot it interchangeably in my mini 30.

To my knowledge, they are just different names for the same thing. The cartridge was originally designed and adopted for use by the Russians.

My Lee dies are labelled "7.62x39 Russian". There are two available expander pins for .308 and .311 projectiles. I use the .311" pin with .312" projectiles for the best results in my Chinese SKS.
