So , I have one that is in load development right now. It has been done before with several different names. It is essentially a 357herret rimless. 358 caliber in 6.8 basic starline brass necked down. Quite a little thumper. It should meet the requirements of the OP.

If we ever come across a donor action better suited for feeding a x39 type case we can certainly revisit some of the more interesting ideas proposed.

Anything else would be more work than it's worth unless you really want something unique. Great factory ammo exist for both and can be found most anywhere.
