IMHO, it's the speed you should be looking at. Prior to me getting my 6XC, I was told by a few veteran 6XC guys that if your 6XC doesn't shoot well between approx 3025 and 3050 (roughly 39.5 grains of h4350 and 105's) then something is wrong with the barrel
Probably not so cut and dry but it worked for me. In my situation, my 24" barrel needed 40 grains to get in that node. Another thing I would try is to back off the lands even more.....way more with those hybrids, and give it a go then move in if needed. My rifle shot lights out and I wasn't even near the lands. I also did some testing with different seating depths and couldn't get it to shoot any better by getting closer to the lands.

I get the best ED/SDs seating the Hybrids .015" off. Like single digits.greenwood said:I have been forum reader for several years but have not posted. Having trouble getting custom 6XC to pattern consistently. Using 39.5 gr. H4350, F210 primer, Berger 105H, 0.02 off lands. What primers may be better? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.
Exactly the same data for mine down to a tee. So weird! It tried seating them off 40 thou to jammed 15 thou. Couldn't get it to shoot. Someone suggested I try jamming it 20 thou and voila it was like a light switch was flipped. Been shooting well ever since!308warbird said:39.0 H4350 w/ a Hybrid jammed .020 with .001 neck tension. Shoots excellent at 3050fps. Norma brass and Fed210GM. Groups .275ish with waterline elevation waaayyyy out there.
