6xc - Primer suggestions

I am working up loads for a 6xc (7twist) with berger 115vld's and RL-17 & H4350. Looking for primer advice. I only have win. primers on hand and I am wondering if I should get some cci br2 or others to try.

Or the TULA which is the same as the Wolf if I am not mystakin. ( Powder Valley Site advertiser) And there CHEAP TOO.

+1 on the above posts. I also use fed 210m primers since I have a lot of them. CCI lost me with their price, I don't see anything performance wise to justify the extra cost.

I use the CCI br2 for my competition rifle, and have used Rem 9 1/2 primers in both my walk around varminter and my competition rilfe with no negative issues. WD

Have used BR2's in mine exclusively. Have at least 9K I bought when they were $24ish per K. With the price and how well it shoots I see no reason to switch currently.

I have two and have used Wolf, Tula and Fed GM match all with good results and low ES and SD #'s mid single digit. I shoot 115 DTAC'S with RL 17, one a 26" Bartlein the other a 24" Krieger, tactical type rifles.

If it were me i'd go pick up a sleeve of each and load up 5 or 10 rounds each, all with different primers, same load, shoot them over a chrony and see which is going to give you the best es/sd.

I've noticed that Fed 210M give me the best consistency, then the Wolf/Tula, CCI 034, and way down the list is the BR2, CCI200's etc.

But each round is different, so take the time and play around with a few different ones.

I won't argue with the primer advice offered but a 1:7" twist is risky for excess pressures with the 105 + grain bullets, even sometimes with moderate loads in a 6mm - - I would never (and I mean never) go faster than a 1:7.5" twist in a 6mm, and all the 115's will stabilize fine in a 1:7.5" twist.
