I have tried searching through the site and looking in archives but cant find the answers Im looking for. I am sure someone else is using this combo.
Trying to work up a load on for my new rifle that was delivered last week.
Norma Brass
CCI BR2
RE 17
107 SMK
Seated at 2.710
(I made a case gage out of an old 22-250 with the 107 SMK, my lands of my rifle pushes the bullet back to 2.720)
85 degrees
I started at 37 grains and went up to 38.5, without seeing any pressure signs with the highest velocity being 2920 at 38.5 with the rifle shooting decently at 100 yards.
I have experience using this powder in my 284 and know that it has a very soft pressure curve.
The groups were about the same for each load, well under 1/2 MOA.
With uncoated bullets where did you start seeing pressure signs? I have seen none of them yet.
I know with my 284 the harder I pushed it the tighter the groups got. Is this the case with this powder and the 107 SMK?
Thanks,
Will
