6xc loads with berger 88gr

I would bet that 38.ish grs of H4350 will work really well. Have used them, but have shot a lot more 80s than the 88s. I use 38.0 grs with everything and havent had anything shoot less than really well yet. Just seems to work. But then, I shoot XTC and LR, so YMMV if you shoot bench rest or something like that.

Correct, 38grs will not be a heavy load, even with the 108s. But, for 200 yard use, I am not trying to set the world on fire...its 200 yards (offhand and sitting). But, if, for some reason, you are shooting 88s at much longer range, yeah, maybe the extra velocity will make a difference, but thats not much of a 6mm bullet for much over 300yards though. Have never really found the extra accuracy when pushing any bullet to the max in the 6xc. stuff seems to shoot better at reasonable velocities for any particular bullet.

no need to shoot a 88gr at a speed i can get a 105 gr to go with good accuracy. this is for a varmint load, need the speed . want to have some terminal devastation that i dont get with a heavier hunting or target bullet. already have great loads with 105's but they dont perform on varmints like a varmint bullet. the 6xc is more than a target round.

Ran them at 3350 fps from a 6X47L and although very accurate they would exhibit the classic "penciling" terminal performance on Woodchucks. I switched to the 87 gr. V-Max.
