6XC bullets match to twist

Berger 105's are the heaviest in Bergers, the 115's require 1-7.5 or even 1-7 twist.
I shot some 88gr bergers the other day in mine, they shot well. I just asked a similar question in my thread in the Hunting section, wondering if anyone is shooting lighter stuff in their 6XC's

It seems most guys shoot 105s and 107s in their 6 XCs but I have a 7 1/2 twist so I can shoot 115s. I shoot 115s @ 2900 fps. As stated the 8 twist usually won't stableize the 115s. It's all in what you want to shoot

I have a 1-8 twist Shilen barrel that shoots 115gr Tubb bullets great! It also runs the 105-95gr vld's bullets too. Don't be afraid to try what you want.

1/8 usually works just fine with the sierra 115s, but the bergers usually dont shoot good, even if they stabilize. On the low end, at least down to 70s shoot well.

My 1/8 will shoot the 115 DTACs OK , but the 105 hybrids shoot much better . My 1 in 7.7 or 7.5 absolutely hammer with the 115s .
