6xc 200yd. loads

Am looking for some starting 200yd. loads for the light bullets, 70-80 gr. to use in reduced range matches.

Assuming that you have a 9 or 10 twist barrel, try to work up to approx. 42gr of R-17 with the 70gr bullet of your choosing. I use the 80gr Boat tail from Precision Ballistics with GREAT results. They also make a REALLY accurate 68gr boat tail that is a treasure to shoot as well, but I've never shot it through the 6xc.

Mine is using Norma brass and CCI BR primers. Be careful and let us know how it works. WD

Will give it a try when the weather gets better. I'm not interested in top velocity only finding the accuracy node around 3000fps. After all, it is only a 200 yd. match.
Thanks

wboggs.... same here. I couldn't tell ya what the velocity is on that 80gr load I gave ya. But I can tell ya that I've finished in the top 5 of every match I've shot with it. ;) WD

Will give it some serious attention in the next couple of weeks when it isn't so windy. Sounds like you have a winner. I have a 1:8 Krieger and it shoots 105s ans 115 lights out.
