6xc 0r .243 in a 10twist

I have a Hart #4 - 10 twist ordered and was thinking of building a 6xc - 22" barrel as a hunting rifle to shoot 80 to 90 grain bullets. I have brass and dies already, just looking for opinions or real experience with. Also can do a .243, but was going to wait and use a 8twist for heavier bullets.

YOUR WRITE USE THE 10TWT FOR THE 6XC USE A 8 OR 9 TWIST FOR THE 243 DEPENDING WHAT WEIGHT BULLET U USE BUT THE 8 TWT WILL SHOOT ALOT OF DIFFERENT WT BULLETS MINE DOES ANYWAY

I have a 10 twist 26" 6xc that is a walk around varminter. Absolutely love it. :D Uses less powder than the 243 that I have, and very nearly the same performance. In the 6xc, I use the 70 & 75gr bullets mostly, but am very sure that it will handle the 90gr and perhaps heavier depending upon bearing surface of the bullets.

I also have a 9 twist 6xc that I use to shoot varmint and similar matches.... and yep, I like it just fine. Barrel life is much better than the 243 from what I've seen. Good luck in what ever you choose. :) WD
