6x6.8 + 37lb F

Again???
Yup..Had a rancher call me Saturday at work and said Ive got a pack of coyotes killing my calves when can you get here.
Right after work I said.
She came running in with her mate within 40 seconds of pup whines as the rancher was taking a dead calve into a gully to dump.
He watched as we dumped them and was smiling and waving.
I don't think those coyotes even saw us sitting there, but saw him and knowing the ranch truck they figured they were safe...NOPE!
Shot those 2, saw 6 others that didn't want to play before night fall.
This a 80k ranch that I talked to the new manager with in Jan. & left my card & info.
Nice that he called me to help with what I love to do.
6x6.8, 55g varmageddon, 167 yards
Full white tipped tail and white belly, blond as well.
She would of been a prime coyote 2-3 months back and Id tan her for my own wall.
He called Sunday to say when you coming back out. My days off of course.

3 more removed since then & just as the new blizzard was hitting me. I could barley figure out where the truck was after it started to dump on me, total whiteout. I left those coyotes out there in the hills as getting back safely to the truck was a bit more important Tuesday night. Cows bellowing in the tree line I came through was my savoir.

Savage action, 6x6.8 caliber, BHW heavy sporter 22" 1/9" tw bbl., 5/8x24 threads for my TBAC suppressor, factory stock, blind magazine, Nikon 3.5-14x40mm SF scope.
Nothing fancy or expensive, but accurate as heck & works perfectly.

Sounds cool. So your 6x6.8 caliber is a necked down 6.8SPC? What bullets and powders are you using? Large or small primers?

I am using R-P LRP brass. I see no difference in my SSA/hornady/federal SRP brass at the range in speed, pressure, or accuracy so they are not used & regulated to back up brass.
Yes this is the 6.8 spc case necked to 6mm with no other changes.
My coyote load is the 55g nosler varmageddon bullet in front of H335, 3563 fps.
I use noslers 90 or 95g NHBT in front of x8208 or H335 for my antelope loads.
90g at 3105 fps, 95g at 3037 fps. Every load prints sub moa @ 100yds.
I am pretty happy with my own builds.

I'm putting together a 6-6.8SPC myself, my barrel is at the gunsmith's and should be ready within the month...
- Douglass XX 24" with a 1:12 twist
- heavy varmint contour
- 11 degree crown
- small shank Savage
- Bell & carlson varmint/tactical stock
- Weaver Classic V 6-24x42mm AO
...looking to shoot 58-70gr bullets out to 300 yards for small critters and target shooting. I have SSA, Hornady and Remington brass as well as H335 and x8208. I scored a slightly used Forster micrometer seater die with a Redding FL sizer at a yard sale in VA last summer. Thanks for sharing your rifle & info, I'll try to post some pics when mine is finished.
