6x47mm Lap OAL with Bgr 105gr

I am building a 6x47mm L rifle on an Tikka 595 action. Barrel is Lothar Walther 1/8', chambered with a PTG .272 no turn neck Reamer, with .104 freebore - designed for 105-111 gr bullets. Can someone with a chamber using the same reamer advise what OAL and 'jump' to lands is likely to work with this set up using Berger 105gr VLD's?

Thanks

DWH

In my 6x47 Lapua I find the 105 Berger VLD's like to be seated around 10 thou into the lands.
I can't give you a meaninful OAL as I measure to the ogive with a compurator depending which tool you use the results would be to different.
Cheers
Dave

My 6x47L didn't like the 105s.

The best I could do was 2.5' for a five shot group at 600 yards.

But... with the 108s I shot two 1.5' groups in our 600 yard club match today.

From my experience with the 6X47 and Berger 105's, you can't over-jam them. They luv to be stuck in there and they shoot well. Exact COAL is relative to the set-up of your chamber, and you should always use a comparator anyway. My COAL will certainly be very different.

108's are a load/seating depth tolerant bullet and will work with almost anything.
