Mr. 250 Klenchblaize:
There must be a misunderstanding here. If you contracted with Mr.Kiff to grind you a .25x47SM. reamer and you paid for it, it's yours. If you also requested Mr. Kiff to mark it as a .250 Klenchblaize that's O.K. too. Again it's your reamer you may call whatever you wish, you paid for it. Now as to the custom .25x47SM. die that you had Redding make for you and again you requested that they put your name on it, that's also O.K. too. If you paid for it, it's your privilege. I don't think anybody in the good old USA has any problem with that. Now that leaves us with your Nesika rifle that you had engraved with the same name.I think it's only right that you had them engrave it however you wished, again you paid for it and you may do with it whatever you please. I don't think it's a problem here. We are going to properly call it a .25x47SM, Again, You may call it whatever pleases you. not a problem. Heck, if I had my choice I think I would call it a .243x250SM. Maybe I might add IMP.
Now the real shame of this whole deal is that you based it on the RUAG 6X47SM brass. I have a Bench rest type rifle in 6x47SM.
It shoots pretty good, That's with a lite target load. I've also used the brass, sadly I have about 800 pcs. of it.)to reform to a .22x47 Lapua while I waited for the 6.5x47 Lapua brass to arrive. Boy, what a bunch of junk The RUAG brass is, with target load I guess it's O.K. BUT the minute you add a little pressure to it it goes to hell in a hand basket. IT's much to hard, it will not readily form to chambers, it has very little spring back after fireing and worst of all the primer pockets leak under any additional pressure at all. I think I would rate it right along with Mr, Tubbs #1 brass.
But all is not lost, just as soon as you can get some of the new 6.5x47 Lapua brass and reform it to your 250 Klenchblaize you will finally see what a good rifle, with maybe the best 250 sized brass we have ever had, will do.
Remember now, I don't care what you call your .25x47SM, it's yours.
