I've always been an old school gun guy. Own many .222 Rems and a .222 Rem mag. Last spring I purchased a Rem 40X in 6x47 Been a super accurate and fun to shoot rifle. I have many reloading manuals and experimented with the suggested loads of IMR 4895 H322 and H335 from the old school suggested loads. H322 so far has had a bit more velocity with the 58gr Vmax and a proven red-mister! IMR4895 and the 60gr Sierra has been hands down one hole winner I purchased a 2nd 6x47 recently a Rem Model 7 rebarreled to 6x47 It's my new toy I want to dial in for my annual PD hunt trip out west
I've had good success with 55gr Blitz and excellent results with 58gr Vmax and the 60 gr Sierrra HPs
I have several .223's I purchased for my sons (Army and Marine) which I've loaded with Benchmark and 53 gr Vmax with excellent results and would like to pare down my powder closet if it would be a good choice for the 6x47 I've also had some good results with XBR8208
So I'm looking for any feedback from the members on here whom have tried any of the newer powders, any manufacture, in this old vintage round.
Thanks in advance!
