6x47 lupua neck turn

Do you guys turn the 6.5 brass then neck down or neck down to 6 then turn??? Is one way better than the other? I have set ups for both. Thanks, Dan

I have tried it both ways and I prefer to turn the brass before necking down. Seems to be more consistant that way. Bill

I like to lube just the outside of the cases before full length sizing them without the de-priming rod or button. Then trim them uniform and lube the inside necks with a Q-Tip & FP3 before using the neck turning tool’s expander to bring them up to neck turning size. I think you get a more accurate cut at the neck shoulder junction that way. But I don’t know if it matters that much even if you’re turning the necks way down?
