6X47 Lapua, 6BR neck die

If I were to buy a 6br Redding type S neck bushing die, is there any reason that I can't use it to neck size for 6X47 Lapua?

I realize that I would have to make a shim, or simply set the locking ring to hold the die higher in the press so I do not crush the brass.

I have a set of Forster Ultra mic. dies for 6X47 Lapua to F/L size, neck down the 6.5 brass and seat bullets and I want to buy a neck die, just thinking I could buy the 6BR neck die and take care of both cartrages with one die.

Other guys are doing this--and even using 6BR bullet seating dies with the 6-6.5x47.

The only problem is that you'll probably have to reset your die position and, possibly, change the bushings. But there's no real reason it can't work unless your 6-6.5x47 is an improved chambering in some way,shoulder angle etc.).

Sorry to jump in. But along the same vein. Can you use a 6x47 bushing S neck die to neck size 6.5x47?

Last summer when I had my first 6 x 47 lap built there were no dies avail. so I used my full length 6mmBr S- bushing die to size the necks and bump the shoulder a thou.,It worked good.
