6x47 Lapua

I would not even attempt to shoot 105's out of mine at 3200+ fps - it would be dangerous!

I have found 2950 - 3050 fps workable with 105's.

I've shot mine at 3226fps 105scenar non-moly with a full case of 4350 and let me tell ya it shot!BUT-----it was 40 deg and little humidity, and it still ruined cases, don't shoot the bullets at that speed, stay at 3100-3150 max, which is very easily reached and you'll be happy with the results if you want to shoot at 2950-3050 thats easy to,but that can be done with a dasher,if your shootin a bigger case use the room you have for more powder.ALL of the 6x47 laps I've had shot at3125-3150 with awesome results, just my opinion.

In high temp environments, around 3050-3100 is about all I want to try and get out of my 6-47 Shehane. In cooler weather I might try a little more. Bill

Thanks for the replies. I am having a rifle put together, predator action with bartlein barrel. I live in the England UK so I don't expect high temperatures. I was thinking of a 243ackley but if I can get the velocities you have been getting I am going to go with 6x47 lapua. It was suggested to me by the gunsmith.
