6x47 Lapua starting loads using 75gr. V-Max

Looking for a starting load for the 75gr. v-max bullet in a 6x47 Lapua.

Reloader 16 unless you have a better choice. Not sure which powder would be best.

I like RL16 in 6x47 but I use it behind the heavier 105+ grain bullets.

38.5 grains RL15, which is a little faster burning than 16, performs really well behind an 87 Vmax in my rifle. That would be a good starting point for that powder with a 75.

You should get Sierra’s 6th edition reloading manual, it covers the 6x47 Lapua good. It shows Rl16 as the best powder for 80 grain bullets but on 70 -75 grain bullets it favors N135 , rl15 , 4064 powder types.

You could "split the baby" and get some TS15.5. My 6XC and 6CM like it with the 87gr Vmax.

I can get some RL15 and try that. I also have some N135.
