6x47 Lapua & Reloader 19??

Anyone tried Reloader 19 with the 6x47 lapua???

I see H4350 and N160 are good fits. Looking for any suggestions on alternate powders.

Thanks

Not finding 6x47 Lapua in my current manuals. This Web Site should have loads listed for 6x47 Lapua. I am getting my 6x47 Lapua this week. 4350 is highly recommended by my shooting guys for this cartridge with 105 Bergers.

Stephen,
Who did you get to do your work. I would like to try that load but by the time I get my gunsmith to chamber a barrel for one of my actions brass won't be available and gunpowder will be obsolete.:D

Jason Baney is currently doing load development with the 6-6.5x47 Lapua.

Preliminary load data is found in this article: http://www.6mmbr.com/gunweek073.html

We have also reprinted data from the 6mmHOT.com website in our Blogs. You'll find that data here:

http://www.6mmhot.com/6mmHOT_Load_Info.html

H4350, Norma URP, IMR 4350, N550, N160, H4831sc and Reloader 19 are appropriate choices for the 6-6.5x47 shooting 100+ grain bullets. H4895 is on the fast side for the 105gr class, and definitely too fast if you want to get max velocity with the 115gr class of bullets.

Jason hopes to do more testing with URP and a new lot of Reloader 19.

Bottom line, H4350 shoots as well or better than anything we've tried. David Tubb has tested a lot of different powders with his 6XC case, which is very similar to the 6-6.5x47 Lapua, and H4350 works best for him.

JLB - my lot of R19 behaves slower than H4350 - the same charge,40.5gns) gave 150fps slower velocities than h4350 with a 107 SMK.

I might have a slow lot of R19...

I have tried alot of powders in my 6 x 47 lap's,starting last year using RL15,it gave me good numbers and good groups but was pretty hard on my barrel. This year I'm using H4350 exclusivly in both my heavy and light 6 x47's,this is with krieger barrels-both rifles are smithed by the same guy and are shooting the exact same load, even seating dept.)Try 40.5 to 41.0
with cci450 and go to the range.
I plan on doing some testing with RL17 this week:rolleyes: with Cr106 and 105 lap's.
