6x47 L reloading question

All,
Just started reloading for my new 6x47 L and need some expert advice. Read thru the posts and didn't find my answer but I may have missed it.

I am taking 6.5 L brass and running it through a Forester FL die to neck it down to 6mm, I then turn it to a neck thickness of 0.012. I came to this deminsion because my rifle is a .269 throat and whan I seat a bullet the neck measures .267 which is just perfect. My question is once I fire the brass will the fl sizer bring it down where it will hlod a bullet or will i need to buy a neck sizer die?

Thanks

stosh, Yea you will need another die for re-sizing your fired brass. I would reccomend a bushing neck die or maybe even a F/L bushing die and adjust the F/L die accordingly in your press. I have basically the same set-up except my chamber is .270 and I try to wind up with .268 to .2685 with my handloads. I hope this helps. Bill

After coming out of the sizer die you'll want the outside diameter of your necks to measure 0.2650-0.2655, for 1.5 to 2 thousandths tension, which typically works well for the long bullets.

As soon as you fire a round through the gun, then take the case and run it through the Forster FL die and see what you come up with. I think it will be pretty close... but you may still need a .265 or .264 bushing, depending on springback), and a bushing die to hold them.

If you don't want to wait to fire a case, just load a dummy round,no powder, no primer), then pull the bullet and run the case though the FL sizer die and see what your post-sizing outside neck diameter is...
