6x47 (222 rem mag case)

i'm thinking about this new build. i have a lot of 60-64 gr bullets that should shoot nicely in this case. anybody shooting it now?...it was once a benchrest cartridge before the 6 PPC and i would use it to punch paper and varmint harvest. checking into components...dies? whidden sounds like a good source? i note that wilson has them but i don't have an arbor press. thanks.

I just signed in I have been off the site for quite a while.
I see your post regarding the 6/47 Remington case.
Loading info is in the speer no 11 manual , to start.
I shot that case and still have a few rifles in that caliber.
It will shoot very well if you do your home work Neck turn the brass and use the right powders.
I like the CCI BR 4 for that case because i shot it on the warm side and Remington actions have a generous firing pin hole.
H 4198 with jumping the bullet works pretty well and so does good old 4895. some of the newer powders would also work well.
Like 8208 XBR and the new LT 32. That case seems to like quick powders ,
Old record groups were shot with that case. I use and still do use Remington brass neck turned.

I don't have a 6x47 but I do shoot a 6x45.Try some Benchmark or Varget those are the powders that worked best in mine.

Also..... Simplex in Australia are making 7/8x14 die sets in their Simplex master die range for the 6x47 Rem

I ordered a FL sizing die yesterday, and use wilson dies for neck sizing and seating
