6x45 freebore?

The reamer will be about 8 weeks to get from JGS but I will definitely update the post when I get the rifle put together and rounds down range.

I finished my 6x45 build it is on a Trued Remington 700 action with a Shilen #3 8 twist barrel and a McMillan stock. I coated the metal with Cerakote Stainless and duracoated the stock in a snow camouflage. Target is 3 shots at 100 yards with Hornady 75gr HP's and H-4895 with a muzzle velocity of 2955fps average.

Nice rifle dakor. What length barrel you running?

I ran the 75gr Sierra HP this past deer season. I had cut the barrel on my 6x45 down to 18" (to run a suppressor) and getting just under 2900 with 10X. It is shooting very, very well (stiller tac 30, Kreiger 12twist Rem varmint in A3 Micky). Killed several deer with it this year. Blew through most of them but I did find one of the 75's. This is from a 320 yard hit in the low shoulder... (again, at x45 speeds these act more like a hunting bullet)

Thank you. I have a 23 inch finish barrel on my and it is threaded for a suppressor you just don't see the threads as I made a custom cap for them.

Great looking and shooting rifle you have there! Would you be interested in selling or renting the 6x45 .090 FB reamer?

A good Coyote bullet in the 6x45mm is the Sierra #1515 80-grain varminter. I use this bullet and IMR 8208 powder in my Rem 700 23" Pac-Nor barrel, velocity is 3000fps.

Dakor,
Nice rifle--I just finished a 6 TCU and have been working with several different bullets. Which one of the McMillian stocks is that? I like that stock and have been looking for a good stock for my next build. I didn't know that Hornady made a 75 Gr HP in 6mm?

I want to chamber a R700 in an 8 twist Bartlein with a Rem varmint contour at 22" in 6x45. PTG lists a 6x45 match reamer in stock with .045" freebore and .269" neck. I want to use 95 TMKs at a COAL of 2.525" in Lapua brass. The necks on my dummy rounds are .2675". The 95 TMK has a very small bearing surface and is just a tad bit longer than the neck of the sized case. Even if this particular bullet doesn't shoot well I still want to use another med weight high BC 6mm bullit. Any thoughts on whether or not the PTG reamer with .045" FB would work for my application? Thanks in advance.
