6SLR? 6CM? HELP.....

Help.... Can someone please enlighten with the above mentioned rounds? As I have been thinking of chambering one of the above, I sincerely appreciate any input as to the pro and con. Which one is easier to fire-form, tune etc... I intend to use 115gr pills. Many thanks!

I'm not trying to start anything here but over the winter I was trying to decide what 6mm chambering to use on a "long range coyote" rifle and I spent days searching this site as well as the internet for 6CM info and all I could find was people touting it as the end all beat all and just all around how good the round was. I could find very little on the specifics such as dies, fire forming etc.
Again I'm not trying to be cute or smart or anything but if you guys that have these would be kind enough to put together a simple list of what you are using to load, form, components and things of that nature into a post in this section it might help out quite a few people that can't search as well as you can.

I would like to commend Robert Whitley on doing such a great job of explaining his 6SLR.

I have a 6CM on a Savage action and love it. I had David Bruno chamber a Kreiger barrel and make me a FL neck bushing die. Die can also be had from Redding as a 243 Egolf Imp. die. I use either Winchester or Lapua 243 brass H100 powder and 115 DTACS or 115 Bergers. I use a .271 neck bushing with the Win brass. Fire forming is easy with 47.0 gr. of H1000 under Sierra 107s seated into the lands. This load shoots well enough to shoot 600 years with great accuracy. I've shot 5 shot fire forming groups at 200 that a dime will cover. If you're interested PM me you number and I can call you to discuss further. Shoot Strait teele1
