6PPC sako USA LOADS with N133

I have not used any load hotter than 26.5 H322. I just pur.N133 and would like a goog sfe load. I have S491 SS Sako. I use 55 gr thru 70 gr.bullets. They all shoot real good. Wanting to try something new.

Had been using 28.5 N133, 68 gr. Berger, seated to touch, Lapua brass, Fed 205 primers, for a number of years, no problems. Recently with the identical load, started blowing primers,3), and getting hard bolt lift. Cut back to 27.5, all else kept the same & end of problems. So, 27.5 grs. should be a starting point.

i use 26.8 gr n133 with 68 gr berger .010 into lands. i tried to go hotter but no luck. stsrted blowing primers at 28.6 gr n133. for some reason she likes between 26.5 and 26.8 and nothing else depending on the temp.

I have a Sako BR single shot 6PPC. Last week I tried two different seating depths, three different bullets,Watosn 68's, Berger 68's & Nosler 70 gr BT's) Previously my load was Rem 7 1/2's, 24.5grs. N133 & a 70gr. Nosler BT. I had also tested N133 from 24.5 - 27.5 grs. Those two charge weights,24.5 & 27.5)proved to be the most accurate @ 100 yards. I went with the lower charge weight for no other reason other than it uses less powder. This being my control round,.040 off the lands, Nosler 70gr BT, Rem 7 1/2, 24.5grs. N133)I set out to see the difference. All groups were tight little knots @ 100 yards so I'll have to go on out to 200 or 300 yards to pick a true winner. I'll do that as soon as the rain quits around here.

WC872 please post your results when the weather clears. I shoot several 6PPC barrels, and I have not had the time to do this testing. I like the info and theory. Thanks again...the colonel.

I have a Sako 75 6ppc, and have shot 68g Berger & 58g v-maxes, both with 28.0 g VV-N133, BR-4 primers & Norma 6ppc USA brass. Both shoot 1/8'-1/4' groups. Same exact zero, oddly enough. 28.5g VV-N133 also shoots a good group. Primers are still looking good at this,28.5) loading. OAL w the 58g vmaxes is 2.105-2.110'. Bergers are into lands somewhat...Hope this helps.
