6ppc reamer specs

I’ve been looking at reamer specs and @ .200 line I’m seeing so many different numbers? I’m using Barts ultras-watsons 68, I want .268nk for sure but not sure on freebore, trim length. Thanks

I have a custom die FL die from Billy Stevens.

So much of the right reamer is based on the die and for a while, people were going too small, basing the reamer mostly around virgin brass dimensions, which imo caused way more headaches that it was ever gonna fix. I'd talk to Billy since you have a die he should be very familiar with and go from there. I actually prefer to spec my reamers around the die dimensions than any other dimension. Freebore isn't very critical. Anywhere between .030 and .060 works. I'd opt for somewhere in the middle of that but based mostly on what bullet you HOPE it shoots. Lol! A bt, on the shorter end and a fb on the longer.

along with what @gunsandgunsmithing said, you'll want to think about what case length you want and then the freebore length and diameter. The leade angle is typically 1.5° unless you want to try something different like a double leade angle.

For case length, some people have gone with 1.525" so they never have to trim. Currently I'm using 1.5" but in hindsight 1.505" would have given me a little room before needing to trim.

Would it be best just send die to JGS let them make a reamer from the dimensions inside?Im thinking trim length 1.515-.050 freebore and everything else standard

It'll work but I'd start with Billy and go from there.
