6PPC help

I had one of these Ruger VT in 6 ppc and it shot the 70 gr bt smk the best with a full case of N133 which was in Lapua brass and the weight was 29.6 grains.
Fire formed with 25 grains.. that gun shot as good as some custom guns if you did your part. Excellent vintage for ruger and surprised lots of folks. Including some of these famous BR guys from Texas!

looking for a good load data for a friend who owns a 6PPC. i have been helping him with reloading a little. We will be using a 60 grain bullet. N133 powder
I Haven't shot my 6PPC for about 25 years. The load my builder ( Jas Hare ) gave me for my .262 necked XP100 based rifle with a gain-twist barrel was the 62.5 grain Watson over 27 gr of H322 powder. Today I would probably use N133 and pick a custom bullet (Bart's?) around 60 to 68 grain weight
The Watson bullets are no longer available, and I've read that H322 has changed over the years. If I were to pull that gun out today I'd probably go with the N133, buy several different weight bullets, and start ladder building all over again. My rifle shot one slightly ragged hole~!!
You certainly sound like your on the right track. I wish you luck
