6ppc coyote loads??

With very similar capacity & ballistics to the 6x45 (6mm-223Rem) I'm sure it would make a fine coyote thumper with about any of the mid to light weight varmint bullets. Go over to predator masters, a huge following of the 6x45 over there. You can read all you want about how certain 6mm pills kill coyotes at 6ppc velocitys. Only thing wrong with the ppc (why you dont see more use in field) is its hard to make feed for follow ups or multiple coyotes

My 6ppc 1/14 twist HV Bench gun will actually shoot up to the 80 grain Speer FB so I have considered it as a potential antelope gun. Since I don't shoot benchrest competitively anymore I use it for cottontail with head shots out to 300 yards on a calm day from a solid rest are common. There are lots of varmint bullets that will shoot lights out in a 14 twist at 3300 fps plus so old Wiley Coyote best hide if your packing one. Tom

I shoot the Hornady 58g Vmax in my 6ppc on coyotes, and it hits them like the hammer of Thor. It actually makes a great coyote round because it puts them down hard and does not do alot of pelt damage.

I've used one for several years. I built mine on a savage action and it feeds great! 55gr. Nosler bt over 28.5 or 29just grains IMR8208.

I have a single shot Target/ Varmint Sako 6PPC, 1980s vintage that is the perfect Coyote gun. I use my BR loads behind 65 Gr VMax's and it's very effective. 29.5 Gr V-133, 65 Gr V Max, Fed small rifle match, Norma 6 PPC brass. 3450 FPS. Do not try this load without working up to it. It is barely safe and only in extremely cold weather. But it shoots in a hole.

I've used a 6ppc for coyote hunting for well over 5 years now.
This is an excellent "calling" calibre where the distances are under 250 yds.
Its an incredibly accurate calibre with 62 Bergers over H322
NEVER had fur damage and NEVER had a run-away - clean hard kills

The rifle is a SAKO AI bolt action REPEATER with hinge pate floor - all factory in a walnut stock.
Sporter rifle with pencil thin barrel - very light weight rig even with a Night force scope.
I've used vaious scopes and have a NXS on it right now....3.5-15x50
The picture shows a Weaver T10
