Hello,
I have a dedicated single shot varmint rifle in .244 with a Hart 1-12 twist which is a "fast" barrel, when chronographed over a reliable unit. I know it already prefers bullets to a max of 80 grains and have acquired an amount of bullets 62-67 grains meant for 6PPC competition. Has anyone on the site used these very accurate bullets at much higher velocity than a 6PPC case is capable of delivering? I know incredibly high velocities can mean "toast" for accuracy in a barrel and have worn a 6mm/284 out with 400 rounds years ago. So, if I can attain quite high velocities and retain the accuracy these bullets are capable of,varmints in this area will be in great danger.
Any real experience with this subject would be appreciated.
