6ppc accuracy load

What charge weights and seating depths? Neck tension? Are you using flags?
27 and 27.3 of N133. Have been seating the bullets touching the lands .Necks are turned to fit a 267
neck.

with LT-32 I have tried 27 to 27.3gr loads. again not real consistent.

haven't tried loads over 27.5gr on either powder. Are my loads too light?

You don't say what the action is
But if in a good rem.700 or a custom action
Then yes you are a little light on the loads
You might work on up to 29.6 or so of N133 and 28.6 or so of Lt32

My base load is 28.5 grs of 133 Barts 65 gr sbt.
Looking for any suggestions on powder and load weight for my 6ppc. Using a 68gr bullet. Not getting consistent results. Have been trying N133 and LT-32 powder.
Most of the really good group shooters that I know are using N133 with loads between 29.7 to 30.5. Let me add to this 133 likes a lot of neck tension.

In a custom action the lightest load I have shot is 29.5 of 133 with 68 gr bullets. That is with my current barrel. Most of the barrels I have shot in close 30 years have been 29.9 to 30.2. Neck tension .004 or .005, .262 neck. I have noticed little difference in powder requirement shooting 63, 65, 66 and 68 gr bullets by the same maker. If your shooting a factory action I would start at 28.5 and work up.

When I was working up loads for my first 6PPC, I was getting very frustrated when my rifle wouldn't shoot anything but "ho hum" groups using what seemed to work for everyone else - namely N133 and the popular 68's. In a great many rifles - that combo is supreme. However, if you aren't getting what you like from what you are trying - don't be afraid to try a lighter bullet with those same powders. Don't get stuck in a rut, trying in vain to get your rifle to shoot something it doesn't like. You can spend a lot of time and components doing that - as I unfortunately knew all too well before switching things up. Good luck.

If you wnat to try a different ligjt bullet I suggest the 58 grain Hornady V Max. I played with them one summer out of curiosity. I shot a lot of tiny groups with them, surprised me.Don't be concerned with not having much bullet in the neck, that's not a requirement for accuracy.

What Dusty said. I will add that 133 was too hard to keep in tune for me even at the higher node but especially below 29 gns. I saw Jonnie W shot the first 2 targets with 28,2 gns, in the 1,s. then it was a disaster

Yes - the best shooting bullet I ever had in my two current PPCs are the Berger 62 grain which was discontinued. Walt had told me that bullet wasn't even designed for PPC and he had no load information for it in a PPC. Despite a very small amount of bullet in the case and at a soft jamb - it was (and is - as I bought a bunch of them) incredible. That might be an extreme example - but that is what works best in mine. I never got a 68 of any brand to shoot that well.

I often shot Hammond 63s at 100, lasers .

There is no accuracy load, bullet or powder that works in every barrel. The more you shoot and develop your system, the more you will see in common from barrel to barrel.

For instance, Dusty said that below 29.2 may shoot dots, but is wind sensitive. What he did not tell you was how many shots down different barrels or with different bullets it took him (and others) to reach this general conclusion. He also did not tell you that some lots of n133 are significantly hotter than others. He did not mention anything about seating depth. He (and many of the experienced guys on this site) knows these things and have proven them to himself by systematic testing and shooting tens of thousands of rounds.

N133 is too sensitive to stagger or luck into an “accuracy load.” The perfectly tuned load at 9:00 a. m. might shoot totally blown up after lunch. Knowing how to identity why you are getting inconsistent results, and what adjustments to make is the key to being consistent, especially with n133. Sort of reminds me of that crazy chick that sucked you in when she was on good behavior and you never wanted to let her go; until she went back to crazy, then you are asking yourself why did I do this again.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, neck tension also matters and could be the sole cause of your problem.

Shooting anything below like 29.2 of 133 will give good groups, but it will not agg and is too wind sensitive. I used to get lured in by those screamer groups and was too hard headed to change. Whatever you like in 133, just lower it exactly 1 grain for lt32 and tune from there

Do a search for “Boyer method”. Use it to work up a reliable load.
Trouble is the Boyer method in the book is outdated. Don't forget that book was published in 2010. He has a different system for finding out if a barrel will shoot the way he wants it too or not.
