Took the afternoon off work yesterday to help a buddy find a javelina for his boy to shoot on the Jr's hunt. I took him out to a spot that I glassed up a couple heards of them a few weeks ago. I took the 6mmXC along just in case we found a coyote to shoot at. Well after a couple hours of glassing the only thing we were turning up were Jack Rabbits. They were everywhere. We were set up on a little rocky knoll that sits right in the middle of big flat and you can see 360 degrees all the way around you. As it was getting closer and closer to dark, the temptation to shoot a rabbit grew stronger and stronger. About that time my buddy Says he's got a pair of Jacks just out in front of us on the bank of a small drainage. I told him to grab the rifle and get set up while I get a range. The range finder said 168 yards so I told him to come up one click and hold right on. I've shot plenty of rabbits in my day but I've never seen one turned inside out and turned into a red mist quite like this. The 110 Sierra is a devastating bullet for sure.
