6mmBrx, Dasher or 6 x 47 Lapua

Which would you choose to shoot the 105 Berger Hybrid or the 115 DTAC at 1000 yd steel targets ? I have the BRX & I'm pretty happy now that I have enough brass..My 8 twist barrel shoots the 105's to .25MOA short range..I'm liking it enough on the steel targets 850 to 1000 yds..Can I get a better cartridge barrel next time?? help me out...mike n Ct

All 3 are very capable in my opinion. Boils down to how good of barrel, bullets, and how capable your reloads are to which will do best. Since your already setup in BRX, no need to spend more money - IMO
Good Luck

Stay with BRX, no gain changing to the others except less barrel life with the 6X47....burns more powder.

The 110's can be iffy in an 8" twist but are well worth a try. If anything they shoot a little flatter at the same speed than the DTAC for me and the bearing surface is much shorter on the 110. A very slippery bullet.

Dasher with 105's holds a couple 1000 yard records now .
I shoot now with a couple Guy's with Dashers , I am impressed.
So much I am having one built.

You really cannot go wrong with any of them. I have 5 6x47's, 5 Dashers, 6BR, and a 6 BRA... for just plinking I nearly always use the 6x47L because I like the added boiler room and no fire forming. If this was for raw accuracy then without a doubt the Dasher or BRX or BRA.

I have both a dasher and brx...I've been asked a couple times which one is better...my response is always "Which ever one has the better barrel"...they are that close. Not a thing wrong with a brx...I'd stick with it.

I'd also stick with the 105 hybrid. Very easy bullet to tune and pretty consistent straight out of the box. Except some 108 stragglers, hybrids are about all I shoot anymore.

No, stay with the BRX. I have had 6BRX's for 12 years. I have shot 105 Berger's ( have not tried the hybrids, why change what is working. ) I tried the 115 berger's and DTAC, they did not shoot as the 105's. Nothing will run with the 6BR imp's. I have not changed from the BRX, for a Dasher, it is all in the barrel you get, on how well it shoots. Unless you need a round that will feed better thru an action, stay with the BRX. I did the 6 x 47L to get more speed, it did not get me the speed or did not shoot like the BRX, I went back to the BRX.

Steel at 1k is different than group shooting. I run both Dashers and 6-47L's. For 600 and 1K BR I like my Dasher. But then again, it is a better platform for 1K BR. For steel out to 1200, I choose my 6-47 L. But then again, it is a Better platform for steel shooting.

Is that because you get better barrel life out of a 6-47? Or what makes the 6-47 your go to for steel, if the dasher shoots better groups on paper at the same distances?

Because I don't need 3 inch groups for steel.

Like I said.....my Dasher is a better platform for shooting BR.
