6mmbr + weight

Hi. I have a question about the weight of the rifle. I am thinking of building a 6mmbr, and I was hoping to be able to cut down the jump,so I can spot my own hits). Does anybody have experiense with how much the rig has to weigh in oder to look at the hits trough the scope?

Or do I have to get a muzzlebrake?

My rifle is on the heavy side, 1" at the muzzle, 28" long with a laminate stock. With the 107's I miss the hit sometimes, with the 70 never. I am getting a brake for next years dog trip.

Hope I can let you know by Saturday. Just finished up my 6BR this morning, scale says 16-12, and has a brake. Hope it doesn't move at all............. :)

I am sitting at 19.3 on my 7mm Rem mag and it moves a little bit, hardly any at all though, I was worried the weight wouldn't be enough. so am glad I waited before I rushed into a break.
