6mmBR vs 223 to 600?

Nope... If you bother to look at the chamber and case diagrams of the 223 and it's predecessors, you will find that, within 2 or 3 thousandths of body diameter, they are the same.

There is no more taper in the 223 than the others.

both case heads are .376-for the 223 and .375 for the 222m,
the body length of the 223 is 1.438 and dia at the shoulder is .354

the body length of th 222m is 1.464 (.026 longer) and tapers to .357 (.003 larger) at the shoulder.

222m has less taper than the 223as the 223 reaches the shoulder dia in .026 less case length

You're kidding, aren't you.

When one considers how many different cases have been chambered in ARs and the different bodies they have, and how easily they all feed - and you are trying to make a case that a few thou and you are claiming that it changes how the case feeds?

You MUST be kidding... and how many angles sit on the end of your pins????

Looks like I opened a big can of worms without intending to. The main thing I was trying to say is that, yes, at the time the .222 was created, accuracy was a very important consideration and as was stated, the .222 has well proved itself. However, as time has progressed, the PPC and BR case designs have been consistently more accurate in the short and long range benchrest game. Now if feedability comes into the equation as an important factor, then certainly, the .222, .223 family of cartridges will have an important and desirable characteristic to consider.
