6mmbr trouble

John,
Can you share what your special dies are, and are they inline so you can use your excellent press or are they threaded dies? I guess what I am rambling about is I am interested in info on your special dies :)

+1...

+1 to that. 29gr of RL15 is on the light side, the case is not full enough and/or the pressure isn't high enough to get a consistent burn. (?)

Try RL15 and Varget 29-30.5gr.

I have a savage target rifle in 6mmbr and I use 107 smk's with vv150@ 30.3 grains and a cci 450 primers and lapua brass...my groups 5 shots at 300 yards are under 1.25 inches always and thats side to side no elevation change at all. The side to side is me the rifle will shoot better.
As far as the oal length I'm .020 off the lands...smk's like to jump. good luck

FifteenX,
I would say as a general rule I agree with 100% but My son's 6brx and my 6*284 both like the 107 smk's jammed .012, my 6.5*284 and my .300 wm both like there Sierras 142's and 190's jumped about .015 so it is not written in stone, if it doesn't perform to your liking one way,....go the other ;)

Check your brass, I purchased a lot of Norma brass and it shot real bad, I weighed the brass and it had over 7 grains difference in the cases. Lapua brass usually has less than 1.5 grains hi to lo. Anyway that made mine shoot poorly at 600 add chrno variation like yours.
