6mmbr on tikka T3???

Has anybody tried a 6mmbr on a tikka t3 action? I figured the single stack magazine still might feed these short cartridges ok. Looking a building a light weight sporter in this round and still feed from a magazine if possible.

I know one of the chaps in our local club has a Tikka T3 243 which he has had rechambered to 6mm BR. I have not seen him shoot it yet so I cannot comment on how it feeds, but he did mention that it was very accurate.

Tikka T3 in 6BR definitely has mag feed problems. Might be possible to tune the mags or rifle better - but why bother when a 6XC will do the job perfectly?

PS:
Let me qualify: this was in rapid fire in a HP match - so maybe totally OK for hunting.

Having both the 6XC & 6BR on Savage s/shot Pac Nor builds...along with Tikka rifles...if I were to spend $500 to rebarrel a Tikka it sure would be the 6XC cartridge w/8 twist...

My Tikka was a factory .243

The S/S factory barrel was cut and shut to 6BR .272 no turn neck

I swapped the 243 magazine to a 22/250 one and it feed wonderfully well.

65 V-max using R10-X makes nice paddock pizza
