6mmBR modified case for Hornady OAL gauge.

I can't find a 6mmBR modified case for my OAL gauge to save my life. Everyone is out of stock and back ordered with no due date in most cases. If anyone has one I will gladly buy from you. By the way, is there any reason why I couldn't make one from a 6BR case? It is easy to thread a brass case I would think. Might have to add lead or solder to the bottom to have good threads though. Anyone done this?
Thanks in advance

The one I got from Gunstop had to have the neck turned to get it into the .2704 neck.
After that it worked fine.

Use a case fired in your chamber and have it tapped. The ones they sell are often way off headspace for your chamber. 5/15 x 36

Any mini lathe or collet will work.

I took a piece of brass fired from my 6br and modified it. It came out perfectly. To keep the drilled area hole evenly spaced, I started with a small drill bit then increased for the next couple of bit sizes until I had the correct size for the tap. To hold the brass while drilling, I drilled a hole through a six inch piece of 2x6 then cut the block of wood passing the saw blade through the middle of the drilled out hole. Using a "C" clamp I was able to secure the brass within the hole halves while drilling and during the tap process.

I have the tap for making the cases, if you can't find one PM me and if you send me a couple pieces of fired brass and $5 I'll make it for you.

It's a pretty easy process, just an odd sized tap. I chuck the brass up in my lathe so everything is straight and centered.
