Looking for a 284 modified case for a Hornady OAL gauge

Does anyone know where I can find a 284 modified case for the Hornady OAL gauge?? Thanks guys!!
Take an odd case (maybe too light or heavy weight wise), resize it and take a hacksaw and split the neck to the shoulder. Should be enough neck tension to pull the bullet out by hand, but not easily.
I've done both, and the split neck seems to be more constant in measuring OAL....for me anyway.
Should have qualified this as an alternative to the Hornady OAL gage. Set a bullet in the split neck, carefully chamber and eject. Measure the ogive the same as if using an OAL gage. Same results except for the frustration of hunting down a modified case....you've already got one.

I used the Stoney Point (now Hornady) for years, and modified their 6.5-284 to suit the 284W, and it worked fine.

BUT then I found this:

and never used anything else.

Good Luck!

I have the tools and taps I do not use them. I drill the primer pocket/flash hole out to a diameter that allows me to push the bullet out of the case and into the rifling. Again, I am the fan of bullet hold and transfers, I transfer the dimensions of the chamber to the seating die.

And then there is the case, I can use fired cases or sized cases, all I have to do is modify the case with a drill and bit.
