6mmBR loads with RL-15 & 8208

I was wondering if anybody had any luck with RL-15 in a 1 in 8 twist barrel and 105-108gr bullets.

I use a lot of RL-15 in ONE of my 6br's, with 105 Berger's, @ 31.5 it is way more than most barrels will take, but this one digests that amount with no problem and fired over 15 times on the still tight cases..
It's a 3 groove 1.350 30" Pac-Nor barrel......
Start off with 30.0 grains and work it up, and you'll be fine with your new 6br........

K80 - Start and 29.5 and work from there. Mine will shoot 105 AMAX and 105 Berger VLD at 2830 FPS. .3 at 100, limitation is the Indian not the arrow!

K 80-- RL 15 is my best powder in my 2 6brs , both 8 twist , Try start at 29.5 and work up. Varget is next in line. Neil

RL-15 & 105's kicks butt in mine. So well I went right out and bought 10 more lbs of that lot after I got that load put together...

How does R15 compare with Varget in most peoples BRs as far as fouling and temp stability? I know most people are able to get more velocity with RE15, but I only want to get to 2820 fps which I can do with varget.

RL15 is a tad dirtier than Varget, even more so if you run light loads, at least in my experience. But it cleans up fine if you don't let it get baked on and built up too much. As far as temp stability the Varget might have a slight edge, but not enough to worry about IMO. Lot to lot differences seem to cause more issues than temp with either of those powders.

Varget all the way with 107 Sierras out of my 3 6BR's and 80 grain Berger FB for 100 yard fun.

31.3 of Re15 w/80gr berger varmint match 3100 fps. one hole 10 shot groups consistantly

Thanks Guys, For all the impute on the RL-15 for my 1 in 8 twist barrel gun. Is there anyone out there getting little groups with the IMR 8208 with lighter bullets in the 1 in 12 or 1 in 14 twist barrels. Having (2) 6mmBR's (1) with a 1 in 8 twist and (1) with a 1 in 12 twist. I probably should had 2 separate questions.
