6mmBR HG/Cruiser?

Toying around with the idea of a Cruiser weight 6mmBR or Dasher.

Maybe around the 30lb mark, drop port action, HG stock?

Pretty much a HG at 30lbs chambered in 6mmBR or Dasher?

Who has done this, and how did it go? Wasting my time?

Why on earth would you want or need a thirty pound rifle in something that recoils as little as the 6mm BR?? My rifle,a Remington 40XB with thumbhole stock) weighs about 12 pounds and has little recoil. I would think that thirty pounds would be completely excessive and a waste!! :crazy:

Yes Thomas Ellington's HG Dasher looks a bit heavier than 30lbs...

By looking at the results he has done well with it also. The riflw would track like a dream, and shot could be fired very quickly.

I could nearly go for one of these!

Antone else shoot, or know of anyone that shoots a HG 6mmBR or Dasher?

I have a 10 inch bat R/R in a Lead filled Mc-tracker that as soon as I can get a standard bolt will be a 30 lb 6mmDasher.

My 1000 yd. heavy gun weighs 28#

8 1/2" Bat, right bolt, left port, right eject, McMillan stock with lead added, 12x42 BR Nightforce

1.350" taper barrels chambered in 6 Dasher and 6.5-284.

It's acually a twin to my light gun, except for weight, to simplify my life by using the same front rest and rear bag set-up.

I would do it again, and highly recommend it. It is hardly excessive or a waste.
