Hello,I'm in the process of building a 6mmAR on a rem 700 w/a 10 twist barrel to shoot the 80gr flat base bullets,has anyone tried this cal.on a bolt gun and how is it doing...Looking to shoot some groundhog shoots with it and the targets range from 100-500 yards Let me know what you think..

I have a question for you. how does the bolt face fit the 6mmar? thanks,treeman

the build is in process i have no idea should be OK its the same as the ppc bolt face.

6mmAR ought to be fine in a bolt gun; I have a Gilkes Ross for which I had Mike Ross chamber up a 6.5 Grendel barrel for 600 yard shooting. I'd asked Mike to sell me a .440" bolt face & he said try the .475" first & see how it works; .308 bolt face works fine with it.

Mostly a question of whether a given extractor is properly shaped to pull the case out of the chamber, as the chamber itself will center up the cartridge upon loading.
