Recently picked up an upper by ARX in their Turbo 40. Im primarily bought it to shoot ground squirrels and coyotes. After fireforming I worked up a load using 80 grain Nosler ballistic tips, 30.2 grains of XBR over BR4s. This was the max load before seeing pressure signs at 30.4 grains.
I was able to consistently get 3120 FPS over the CED chronograph. However I saw on the ARX website that the standard 6mmAR with a 75 grain V-Max was clocked at 3150 FPS with Benchmark. I was wondering if you all think Benchmark will help me get more FPS without showing premature pressure signs? I originally hoped to get about 3250 FPS with the 70 - 80 grain class of 6mm bullets with the improved version.
I should add that I'm sticking with single based powders to keep from velocity swings due to tempature.
