6mm super l/r advice

I could be WWWAAYYY off, but to me the 6.5 SLR is almost the same as a 260 Ackley??? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Almost...the difference is the 40degree ackley is blown out,...short neck,but the Slr is squeezed down...long neck. The shoulder angle obviously 30 degrees and less boiler room than the Ackley.

Back to rounds down range.... first barrel was still shooting strong over 2500.... season ended.

Scott your right where I am at with the 4831SC load. I am at 2890+ with my 24" barrel. Have you tried H1000 yet??? It is close to 100fps faster in my rifle.

I have played with it a little. I didn't see any speed gains over H4831. I was doing my charge test it was easy to tell when I hit the 2900 node. My zero came be in and groups were sub .2 for 3 shots at a 100. I've still got 8+ lbs of H4831 and 6lbs of sc so I'm going to stay with that for the rest of this barrel which is at about 1250 rounds.
