6mm SPC

Anyone here shoot a 6mm spc, the 6.8 necked to 6mm w/no other changes of course.
I have a 6x6.8 (same thing) AR15 w/a BHW P3 barrel, but want to build a bolt gun now but don't want a poly grooved barrel this time around. It would be a Savage light varmint contour barrel, 22" long, 1/9" twist & threaded 5/8x24.
Who could spin me a barrel for a Savage small shank here if any in that caliber?
I didn't see any reamers on the PTG site for a 6 spc either, but sent an email just in case I missed something there.

I believe what you're looking for is a 6mm HAGAR. Hornady makes brass and Redding makes the dies. I'm sorry I don't know who makes a reamer. http://www.keystoneaccuracy.com/6mmhagarorders.html

Negative on it being a 6mm Hagar Im looking to build. The Hagar case is longer with a 30* shoulder.
The 6mm spc is 43mm long w/a 23* shoulder w/a simple neck down from its 6.8 spc parent case.
I know & read up on the Hagar before building the 6x6.8 on a AR15 frame, but see there are no specific 6x6.8 bolt gun barrels besides the poly barrels from BHW.
Im looking at changing my plans again though....:)

Correspond with Roy Winnett at his site:

He calls your wildcat the 6mm PDK (Predator Dog Killer)

Isn't this the 6woa?
They use the same 6.8 brass but...
Negative, the 6woa is fire formed, w/ the shoulder blown forward & shorter neck.
The 6mm dti is fire formed w/the shoulder blown forward but a tad longer neck than the 6woa.

If you’re after exactly the same 6x6.8 chamber that your AR came in why don’t you contact whoever made that barrel and ask where they got their reamer?

They wont give/email the reamer print/specs as Ive emailed them about it. I know they use the PTG reamer & cant get the specs/print from them either.
The AR15 barrel shoots fair enough for antelope/coyote, but not nearly as good as it should thus my looking elsewhere to build a bolt gun.
2 bullets I will use are the 55g NBT for coyote and 95g NHBT for antelope I may have to step back and do something different though.
I appreciate the links above.

PTG got back to me w/a reamer print & price for the reamer as I was going to call Dave today, checked my emails 1st and don't have to bother him for now.
Now back to my original plan!

The 6.8 bolt face is different than what most make in rifles. You might get Dave Kiff at PT&G to make a bolt for a one of the common actions such as Rem 700, Win. M70, or Savage. Your gunsmith could open the bolt face on a .378" (223) bolt to the .420" required. This is going to be an expensive build. Why not go with a case that is easy to obtain and that rifles come in that bolt face. I'm getting parts together to build the 6X6.5-47L. I love Lapua brass. A 6mm BR would be so much cheaper and you would have money for bullets and powder. You could look for a Remington M30 rifle as it was chambered in 30 Remington and have it re-barreled.

Id go with the grendel case. You got the bolt and you can get the cases anytime plus theres loads of data out there

I'm running the straight 6AR (243LBC, 6Predator, 6 Grendel; different names but exactly the same. I call it the 6WE for Whatever).
Tons of load support, even if you blow it out to the 40 degree shoulder. They're very forgiving to load for and you can use Norma 6PPC brass if you're comfortable fireforming. For plinking I use the affordable Starline brass so if some gets lost in the field then I am not upset.

The starline has the big flash hole but is great for bulk shooting. I love the lbc grendel ar

After all the work into fire forming the PPC brass there is no way that I'm going to go out and some of the fields that I shoot in and lose 10 to 15 pieces. Starline really fits the bill despite running about 15 slower.
