Yep, pretty much just a bushing change. Ballistically it mirrors the Grendel, so unless you can do it yourself and already have brass/bolt it may not be financially viable.

So is case length same as a 6.8SPC? Would be beneficial to decrease case length closer to grendel so longer bullets could fit mag length. Maybe adjust shoulder angle?

6mm Haggar is another one Bassed on the 30 Remington. Creedmoor sports may have brass.

I've seen a couple versions, all seem to do well. The 6.5 bullet seems to work a little better with the 6.8 case than the 6. Might look into the GPC line of wildcats for some more info.

I like my 6.8 spc as is. Finished load development and it shoots .4-.6” with speer 90 gr tnt and barnes 85 tsx. N-120 is pixie dust in the thing. Couldn't get a2200, a1680, and a2460 to shoot better than 1”. Will be using it on deer, groundhog, and coyotes.

Back in 2014, a company called Black Hole Weaponry, now something else, produced a barrel that was a straight neckdown of the 6.8 case to 6mm. I built an 18" gas gun that was an honest 1/2 MOA with 95gr Nosler BTs, SSA brass, CCI 400s, and IMR8208. JMHO but I firmly believe the best 6mm gas gun ctg out there is the necked down version of the Grendel case. What AR Performance calls the 6mm Predator. Not the 6mm ARC.

Just an observation. Wouldn’t the 24 nosler be much better as it has the same bolt diameter as the .223/5.56? It is a rebated rim. No bolt change and you can use 6.8 spc mags. Just a thought.

X-Caliber now chambers the same straight necked down 6.8 case to 6mm version.

I built a new upper with their 20" barrel & shoot 70 Ballistic Tips at 3300 for thermal coyotes Does a fantastic job, kills with authority & easy on hides.

I just use Redding 6.8 SPC bushing neck dies and seat with a regular 6.8 SPC Wilson inline bullet seater.
