6mm Remington Brass

Who is making the best brass for the 6mm Remington now? It's been awhile since I bought any, the only thing I can find is Remington and Winchester. Thanks

Got a new 6AI barrel in May. Fireformed 150 Win cases. Lost one due to a shoulder flaw. Was warned away from Rem brass - too many fireforming losses. Some guys neck down Norma 7x57 brass and turn the necks to get what they deem to be the best brass. Haven`t tried it myself.

I have both Rem and Win. I have to say the Rem brass has lots of flaws - shoulder dents and creases especially. The Win brass is pretty good. It's nothing like Lapua but if you sort it and clean it up it quite adequate.

I have remington winchester and Norma, i have not used the norma yet but winchester is better and more consistant than the remington.

I am new to the 6AI game and I have used Norma 7x57 necked down and turned....seems like good stuff, but a lot of trouble. I recently found some new Winchester 257 Roberts P+, but have not used them yet. If you are looking for somewhat of an adventure at a lower price try to get some of the 257 Roberts P+, neck 'em down and turn the necks. Lots cheaper than Norma brass & hopefully will hold up as well since it is supposed to be a 'bulked up' 257 Roberts case for 'warmer' loads.
Hope this helps
DJ

Nothing is like Lapua .243 brass, but Hornaday brass comes CLOSE. Remington brass comes closer than most wannabees after that. I have no problem prepping any of these three choices into viabily accurate case. Next comes powder and projectile considerations . . . cliffy
