6mm Remington Ackley reamer print

Guys,

I cannot seem to find a reamer print for the 6mm Rem Ackley.

Its doesnt appear on either SAAMI or CIP.

Can anyone help me please?

A print will be available from a reamer maker. The 6mm Ackley is not a SAAMI or CIP registered cartridge, it has not been 'standardized'.

Do you know if there is much variation in reamer specs for this caliber?

What I have learned is that In Wildcat cartridges , there's no such thing as "the standard version" the phrase to use is "the most popular version" . Die manufacturing companies like Redding and RCBS are not very forthcoming with their dimensions., but they are willing to verify, so if you send them a reamer print, they will verify if that Reamer Dimensions will work with their dies. In this case you're working with a 6 mm Remington Saami specs that have been modified to Ackley, which is fairly common. So I would think the only dimensions that are usually changed would be neck dimensions and Freebore

It is not silly to get sizer die specs first then have your reamer made to fit cheap/common dies.
Custom dies =$200
Custom reamer =$200
selling used reamer that requires $200 custom dies= no fun and no recoup of some of your money.
