Huh?Now there is a different way of thinking that absolutely works!
Again....huh?100g Hornady flat base thinks it is a partition!
I think it's the interlock.Tough bullet, base of the bullet is crimped in to the core. Hard to get all the core to separate from the jacket. I am not sure that hornady makes this bullet anymore.
This a deer rifle, not a match rifle. Seat a bullet of your choice to the max your magazine will handle. Have the Smith who does your barrel throat it so the ogive of the bullet just gets tiny marks from the lands when chambered. It will probably shoot fine there but you can still seat it deeper in the case to find a sweet spot.I'm looking at putting together a 6mm Rem and don't plan or desire to shoot the super heavies (105s or 107s). Just a good deer hunting bullet such as the 95gr or 100 gr partitions.
I'd like to build it on a short action and was wondering if would work. What's the COAL with a 100gr partition or interlock?
I'm not totally sold on the short but have one in mind, otherwise I can build it off a Tikka action.
