6mm Rem BR ?

I came into possession of a 3 die set of Redding dies that are marked 6mm Rem BR.

I’m still a noob when it comes to precision reloading. I’ve never heard of this caliber. I have a 6BR Norma which I reload for.

What are these dies actually for?

The 6BR Remington has a couple minor differences, IIRC, case OAL is a tiny bit shorter. My Redding Competition Die set is marked 6BR Remington as well. I called Redding Tech Support quite a while back and was told they work for both the Remington and Norma versions.
Maybe this will explain the biggest difference (free bore), as the Remington version was designed around lighter weight bullets:

I bought my set of Redding 6br dies last year and they’re marked 6 BR REM. I think that’s all that Redding offers. They work fine for my 6br Norma.

Thread '6BR Go gauge question'

I going to have a REMAGE barrel made up soon and was looking for a Go gauge in 6 BR "Norma". I found quite a few 6 BR Remington, but no Norma. I know there is a difference in the cases as shown below, but would it be safe to use a Remington Go gauge to set the barrel? I've looked at the specifications on different websites for each caliber and it seems most of them are always just a little bit different, not by much, but a little.
